The project represents a strategic shift for the Croatian National Tourist Board as it targets the United States, currently the country's most significant long-haul market. Rather than a traditional travelogue, the film follows Malkovich as a curious traveler, moving through locations ranging from the historic streets of Dubrovnik and Split to the natural expanse of Krka National Park and the Kornati archipelago.
Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian National Tourist Board, described the production as a fresh approach to destination marketing. The film, available in both a full-length version and a one-minute teaser, aims to attract visitors seeking cultural depth, gastronomy, and boutique travel experiences. By focusing on personal discovery, the board hopes to sustain the steady growth of American interest in the region, positioning Croatia as a premium, year-round European destination.
