The median monthly spend for ecommerce advertisers climbed to $27,966 from $16,426 a year prior, according to the Q2 2026 Social Ads Benchmark Report by Emplifi. This surge in capital was matched by a 29% jump in click-through rates, while the cost per click dropped to $0.133. Emplifi CMO Susan Ganeshan suggests these efficiency gains stem from brands prioritizing the post-click experience, ensuring that ad traffic lands on relevant content and seamless purchasing paths.
Regional data highlights a sharp divide in growth. North American advertisers increased their median monthly spend by 61%, reaching $13,308, with the United States seeing a 57% rise to $15,111. Meanwhile, European markets focused on cost-efficiency, recording the largest regional decline in cost per click at 16%. Industry-specific trends were equally pronounced, as direct-to-consumer brands led overall spending growth, and the automotive sector saw a 24% spike in engagement despite more modest budget increases.
