Equip Expo 2026: What to Expect in Louisville

From October 20 to 23, the Kentucky Exposition Center will host Equip Expo, the industry's premier gathering for landscaping and outdoor power equipment professionals. This year’s agenda spans 15 signature experiences, ranging from hands-on field demonstrations to high-level networking events designed to drive business growth and technical expertise.

Kris Kiser, president and CEO of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, emphasizes that this year’s iteration focuses on evolving alongside industry trends while prioritizing tangible takeaways for attendees. The program features a keynote address by HGTV star Mike Holmes, who will present his quality-focused philosophy, alongside a 30-acre outdoor demo yard where contractors can test equipment in real-world conditions.

Professional development remains a core pillar, highlighted by an expanded Tree Care Arena and a series of live-audience industry podcasts. Networking opportunities are integrated throughout the schedule, including a welcome reception at Churchill Downs and a women’s leadership event featuring HGTV co-creator Susan Packard. For those looking to extend their learning beyond the show floor, the new Equip Academy provides post-event access to education sessions for a flat fee of $170 for those who register by September 10. Early bird registration for the expo itself is currently available for $30, with rates increasing closer to the October start date.
