The appointment of Bird, president of food service at The Marzetti Company, and Bynum, the former CEO of Welch Foods, arrives as Finlays Solutions seeks to capitalize on its 2025 acquisition of Leahy-IFP. That deal doubled the company’s regional presence and added advanced aseptic manufacturing capabilities to its portfolio of tea, coffee, and botanical products.
CEO Darnell Ross noted that the expanded board provides the operational and commercial depth necessary to navigate the company's next phase. Bird brings over 25 years of experience in channel strategy and business transformation, while Bynum offers a track record of driving revenue growth and margin improvement from his time leading the Welch Foods cooperative. Together, the board will pressure-test corporate strategy and support the firm’s mission to provide beverage solutions for major global retailers and operators.
