Marisa Guerrero Retains Presidency at Texas State Florists' Association

Returning for a second consecutive term, Marisa Guerrero will lead the Texas State Florists' Association board through 2027. The century-old organization finalized its new leadership roster this week, prioritizing professional education and advocacy to help regional florists navigate an evolving retail landscape across the state.

The leadership team includes First Vice President Tom Wolfe, Jr., and Second Vice President Amy Neugebauer. Ed Fimbel transitions into the role of Immediate Past President, while G. Alan Masters joins the board as a new Retail Director. These officials oversee a membership network that spans retail, wholesale, and design sectors throughout Texas.

Executive Director Michelle Karns noted that the board’s collective business acumen remains central to the organization's mission of providing certification programs and industry resources. The new leadership succeeds outgoing directors Jimmy Klepac and Brandy Ferrer, who finished their terms as the association continues its century-long mandate of supporting local floral professionals through conferences and the Texas School of Floral Design.
