The company’s latest financial results, covering the period ending July 31, 2026, highlight a significant expansion in core franchises. The cardiovascular division saw an 18.9% organic growth, bolstered by a 15% surge in cardiac rhythm management and an 88% jump in cardiac ablation solutions. Neuroscience also contributed to the positive results with a 9.3% increase, supported by strong demand for cranial and spinal technologies.
Medtronic chairman and CEO Geoff Martha attributed the performance to the company's innovation engine and the increasing impact of newer growth platforms. This operational success allowed the company to raise its fiscal 2027 organic revenue growth guidance to a range of 7.25% to 7.75%. Furthermore, the company updated its non-GAAP diluted earnings per share forecast to between $5.94 and $6.00.
Strategic investments continue to shape the firm's trajectory, including a new partnership with Cornerstone Robotics and the recent acquisitions of Scientia Vascular and SPR Therapeutics. These moves are intended to broaden the company's reach in robotic-assisted surgery and specialized medical treatments. Despite the positive outlook, management noted that these results were partially influenced by an extra fiscal week in the first quarter, which contributed an estimated $570 million to organic growth.
