The new service integrates with Bybit’s Unified Trading Account, enabling investors to manage perpetuals, options, and spot positions from a single dashboard. By removing standard requirements like the 100-share lot minimum and the $25,000 threshold, the exchange hopes to broaden accessibility for retail traders. Mike Xue, head of Bybit’s option business, noted that the platform is designed to blur the lines between crypto and traditional finance, allowing users to execute complex strategies like straddles and spreads without waiting for legacy exchange openings.
At launch, the platform will feature European-style, cash-settled contracts to mitigate early assignment risks. Traders can utilize Portfolio Margin to cross-offset positions against existing holdings, which may lower overall margin requirements. The initial rollout will include support for algorithmic trading via API, alongside Demo Trade features for users testing new strategies.
