Cody Rhodes and John Cena Take Their Decade-Long Rivalry to Clash of Clans

A decade of locker room competition between Cody Rhodes and John Cena has spilled into the digital arena. Starting September 1, Rhodes has mobilized millions of Clash of Clans players to hunt down Cena’s fortified in-game village, turning a long-standing personal grudge into a global raid event.

The crossover event, running through September 30, challenges gamers to track down Cena’s base during their daily raids. Success rewards players with an exclusive Cody Rhodes statue, though developers warn that the 17-time WWE World Champion’s virtual defenses are far from rookie-level. To bolster the search, Rhodes has recruited fellow superstars, including The Undertaker and IYO SKY, to rally their fanbases to the cause.

Cena remains unfazed by the growing pursuit. He claims the rivalry dates back to a decade-old game session where he outperformed Rhodes, leading to his ejection from a team. He maintains his signature stance, inviting challengers to attempt the raid with his classic, "If you want some, come get some."

Beyond the hunt, Supercell has introduced six WWE-themed hero skins. This lineup features Alexa Bliss as the Archer Queen, The Undertaker as the Grand Warden, IYO SKY as the Royal Champion, Jey Uso as the Minion Prince, and Kane as the Dragon Duke, with Cody Rhodes returning as the Barbarian King. The event also integrates WWE-branded village aesthetics leading up to the Money in the Bank event in New Orleans on October 10.
