ELVN-001 is engineered to target the BCR::ABL gene fusion, which acts as the primary oncogenic driver in chronic myeloid leukemia. A key feature of the drug is its design to maintain activity against the T315I mutation, a common genetic variant that often renders patients resistant to conventional tyrosine kinase inhibitors.
