Once Nguyen activated the device's remote feature, the RPLATE began displaying the word "STOLEN" in bold lettering. This visual signal prompted nearby motorists to contact the California Highway Patrol, who intercepted the vehicle before the suspects could navigate to a different freeway.

Nguyen was reunited with his car less than an hour after the initial theft. Beyond the display feature, Reviver’s technology provides anti-tamper notifications, alerting owners if a plate is physically removed from the vehicle. Clayton Cardinalli, the company's director of marketing, noted that the incident serves as a practical validation of the platform, which transitions the traditional license plate from a passive identifier into a connected security tool.
