BGM Enters Northeast Market via Acquisition of John T. Chipman & Company

The acquisition brings partners David C. Foster and Lisa M. Gray into the BGM fold, along with their existing team at the Norwood office. For over 35 years, John T. Chipman & Company has serviced small businesses and closely held entities across sectors ranging from manufacturing and construction to law and retail. Clients will retain their existing service relationships while gaining access to BGM’s broader multidisciplinary platform, which includes wealth management, trust services, and specialized audit capabilities.

Dane J. Boeckermann, CEO of BGM, noted that the cultural alignment between the two firms made the combination a natural fit for their national growth strategy. Joe Tarasco of Accountants Advisory Group served as the advisor for the transaction. The combined firm will continue to operate out of the Norwood location, providing a bridge for BGM to deepen its presence in the Boston area and across the Northeast.
