The collaboration marks a shift in how studios integrate talent into synthetic media. Fountain 0, which recently debuted a feature film at the Tribeca Film Festival, utilizes proprietary software to generate high-fidelity image and voice replicas. By incorporating well-known figures, the studio aims to reduce marketing costs while leveraging the existing social media reach of its stars. Hostin plans to use the platform to bring diverse stories to the screen, citing the ability to bypass traditional budgetary constraints as a primary driver for the partnership.
Executive Chairman Tom Rogers confirmed that the studio has established a revenue-sharing model for all participants, ensuring that individuals receive compensation for the use of their likenesses. Emma Sarah Wilson, counsel for the studio, noted that the company has implemented a comprehensive licensing framework to govern consent, privacy, and the storage of biometric data. Following this announcement, Fountain 0 has opened a talent directory, inviting influencers with significant social media followings to join the platform for potential licensing opportunities. The studio’s next project, Odysseus: The Fall, is scheduled for release next month.
