Scott Hoek Joins GA Group to Lead FF&E Expansion

In his new capacity, Hoek will oversee the optimization and monetization of FF&E assets, working alongside the firm’s Retail, Merchant & Industrial Solutions teams. His mandate includes supporting store openings and remodels, leveraging a career that spans fixture liquidation, warehousing, logistics, and project management. Joe Malfitano, President and Head of Retail, Merchant, and Industrial Solutions, noted that Hoek’s background makes him well-suited to lead this growth initiative for the company.

Hoek previously founded Fixture Finders, which became the largest dealer of used Lozier shelving in the United States, and held senior roles at several national asset disposition firms. Most recently, he served as a Vice President at another national firm, where he established a division focused on retail decommissioning and recovery-and-resale programs. GA Group, which is majority-owned by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, aims to integrate these capabilities into its existing advisory and valuation services to provide comprehensive support for both healthy and distressed companies.
