By moving into the Cigna network, the institute aims to reduce the barriers that have long prevented women from accessing specialized care.

Dr. David Amron, founder of the institute, noted that this agreement aligns with his ongoing advocacy to have lipedema recognized as a legitimate medical condition by major insurance carriers. The move follows similar efforts by the clinic to secure in-network status with Aetna for its locations in California and Utah. Patients holding Cigna PPO or EPO plans are now encouraged to initiate benefits verification through the institute’s administrative team ahead of scheduled consultations.
