Current superconducting quantum computers face a physical bottleneck: connecting a quantum processing unit inside a cryogenic environment to external control hardware requires massive, heat-generating cabling. This architecture limits the number of qubits that can be managed effectively. S-Transistors intends to solve this by moving the control interface directly into the cryostat using its proprietary superconducting transistor technology, which combines traditional transistor functionality with the near-zero power dissipation of superconductors.
The funding round, led by Lifeline Ventures, will finance the development of several product prototypes, including a cryogenic signal multiplexer scheduled for release to early partners within the year. Beyond immediate quantum applications, the company plans to establish its own cryogenic laboratory and a manufacturing pilot line. CEO Heorhii Bohuslavskyi and CTO Andrey Generalov view this hardware as the foundation for a "quantum motherboard," a platform designed to manage the hundreds of thousands of qubits required for future commercial quantum utility.
