Planet Fitness Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Growth Claims

Investors who purchased Planet Fitness, Inc. securities between November 6, 2025, and May 6, 2026, face a September 14, 2026, deadline to step forward as lead plaintiffs in a newly filed securities fraud class action lawsuit targeting the company’s recent market disclosures.

The litigation, spearheaded by the firm Schall Brown & Schwartz LLP, alleges that Planet Fitness violated the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 by issuing false and misleading statements to the market. According to the complaint, the gym chain struggled to implement a national price increase for its Black Card membership tier while simultaneously overstating its growth trajectory and the efficacy of its marketing campaigns. These misrepresentations reportedly left shareholders with significant losses once the reality of the company's operational hurdles became public.

While the class has not yet been certified, affected investors are being urged to contact attorneys Brian Schall or David Schwartz to evaluate their eligibility for recovery. Participation as a lead plaintiff is optional, as those who choose not to act remain absent class members. The firm, which claims a track record of recovering over a billion dollars in similar litigation, is offering free consultations for stakeholders looking to address their losses before the mid-September deadline.
