Miami’s House of Horror Carnival Marks 25 Years with Tropical Park Move

The milestone anniversary signals a shift toward larger-scale production for the event, which now occupies the expansive grounds of Tropical Park. Tony Albelo, president of Loud And Live Events, describes the move as a necessary evolution to accommodate more ambitious concepts. The centerpiece of this year's expansion is Howie’s Blind Terror, a high-speed coaster that plunges riders into total darkness with integrated special effects and sudden drops.

Beyond the headline coaster, the event introduces four additional immersive haunts: the interactive junkyard-themed Hide and Seek, the isolated thriller Camp Dead-End Trails, the 360-degree military bunker simulation The Abduction, and Isla de las Muñecas, a narrative-driven experience inspired by real-world folklore. Families can access the new House of Little Horrors, a dedicated low-scare zone designed to provide a reprieve from the park's more intense environments.

Admission covers all haunted attractions, unlimited carnival rides, and parking. To manage the anticipated crowds, organizers have introduced the HOH Bye-Pass, a limited-quantity front-of-line access pass. The event runs through November 1, featuring partnerships with Cervecería La Tropical and legal firm Amanda Demanda, which continues its community outreach by hosting local Police Explorers during the season.
