SmallRig Acquires Kelvin Group Assets to Expand Lighting Portfolio

SmallRig Technology, a subsidiary of LEQI Innovation, intends to bolster its manufacturing and research capabilities by folding Kelvin’s technical documentation and product portfolio into its existing operations. Yang Zhou, director of SmallRig, stated the company plans to leverage its international distribution network to enhance the brand's presence among professional creators. Kelvin Group, known for its focus on color accuracy and user-centric design, will see its technology transition to the SmallRig platform while maintaining its established brand identity.

Halvard Aagaard, CEO of Kelvin Group, noted the acquisition provides a stable environment for the continued evolution of their lighting technologies. The transaction aligns with LEQI Innovation’s broader strategy to diversify its imaging solutions ecosystem. By utilizing its global research and development infrastructure, the parent company seeks to accelerate the growth of the Kelvin line, ensuring that the acquired lighting products remain competitive for filmmakers and photographers globally.
