Atlas Ocean Voyages Adds Bespoke African Land Tours for 2029 Season

Expanding its expedition footprint, Atlas Ocean Voyages has unveiled seven new pre-voyage land programs for its spring 2029 season in Kenya and South Africa. These excursions, ranging from vineyard escapes to private reserve safaris, allow guests to explore regional wildlife and landscapes before boarding the yacht Atlas Adventurer.

The new offerings are designed to integrate seamlessly with four specific voyages scheduled between March and April 2029. In Kenya, the cruise line has secured partnerships with luxury operators including Abercrombie & Kent. The itineraries vary in intensity and exclusivity, such as the eight-day Luxury Signature Safari, which traverses private reserves like Laikipia and the Masai Mara, priced from $26,969 per person.

For departures from South Africa, the programs shift focus to the Cape Winelands and the predator-dense reserves of Botswana. Guests can choose from options like a four-day tour of Franschhoek’s vineyards or an expansive seven-day journey through the Okavango Delta, Chobe, and Victoria Falls. According to CEO James A. Rodriguez, the initiative aims to extend the expedition experience beyond the ship, ensuring that the level of craftsmanship on land matches the boutique standards maintained aboard the fleet.

These land experiences are available exclusively to passengers booked on the yacht's spring 2029 departures, including the 45-night Extraordinary Expedition from Cape Town to Athens. Detailed itineraries and booking information for the programs are currently available through travel advisors.
