This partnership merges Veronis’s expertise in AI-driven communication with the foundation’s mission to serve Deaf and Hard of Hearing populations. By integrating specialized software into the classroom, the collaboration seeks to eliminate digital barriers for learners who have historically faced limited access to inclusive educational tools.
Executive Director Bob Schumacher noted that the move strengthens the foundation's ability to provide students with the resources necessary for long-term academic success. For his part, Veronis emphasized that the initiative serves as a blueprint for scaling accessibility solutions beyond local programs, aiming to eventually impact communities across the country. GoVoBo.ai, a joint venture between AppTek and Gallaudet University, continues to focus on human-centered design to ensure that machine learning serves as a bridge rather than a hurdle for the community.
