Brian Hickerson Faced Bar Bans Before Hayden Panettiere’s Death

Months before Hayden Panettiere was found dead in a Greenville Airbnb, her partner Brian Hickerson was permanently barred from at least three local establishments. Staff reported that while Hickerson could be engaging while sober, he grew erratic and irate when intoxicated, prompting multiple venues to refuse him service.

The investigation into Panettiere’s August 16 death remains active, with state authorities and the Drug Enforcement Administration awaiting toxicology results. While Hickerson has not been named a suspect or charged in connection with the passing, his history of alleged substance use and domestic volatility has drawn renewed scrutiny. Sources noted that Hickerson was banned from Hooters, Twin Peaks, and another local bar after staff struggled to manage his behavior when he had consumed too much alcohol.

This behavior aligns with previous legal encounters. Just three days before Panettiere died, Los Angeles prosecutors noted in court that Hickerson appeared to be under the influence during a media interview. His history also includes a 2020 arrest following domestic violence allegations from Panettiere, and court documents from 2019 detail police observations of bruising on the actress, which she attributed to an assault by Hickerson during a trip to Puerto Rico. Despite these public allegations and criticism from Panettiere’s mother, Lesley Vogel, authorities emphasize that the current investigation into the cause of death is ongoing and no criminal charges have been filed.
