According to Executive Vice President and Provost Dr. Tracey Tedder, the move builds on a legacy of faculty-led mentorship, pushing the institution to provide a more intentional, interdisciplinary experience that extends well beyond traditional classroom boundaries.
Students will encounter a heightened focus on undergraduate research, field experiences, and internships, supported by new campus traditions such as an annual Honors Welcome Breakfast and a Pinning Ceremony. By establishing a dedicated space for the college, administration intends to foster a tighter intellectual community where students are consistently challenged and connected.
