CompSource Mutual Deepens Ties With Kids' Chance of Oklahoma

Tucker McBane, a scholarship recipient who lost his father to a workplace accident, joined CompSource Mutual employees in Tulsa today to share his journey. The event underscored a long-running partnership between the insurer and Kids' Chance of Oklahoma, an organization dedicated to funding education for families impacted by on-the-job tragedies.

CompSource Mutual has served as the primary corporate backer for Kids' Chance of Oklahoma since the nonprofit’s inception in 2016. The insurer contributes approximately $40,000 annually to the scholarship fund, enabling eight students to pursue higher education in 2025 alone. For McBane, who received aid for both his undergraduate studies at Northeastern State University and his current master’s program at the University of Arkansas, the financial support provided a necessary bridge to focus on academics and campus leadership.

Trey Ingram, CEO of CompSource Mutual, views the collaboration as an extension of the company’s core mission to support Oklahoma families. By integrating awareness of the nonprofit into their claims process, the company aims to ensure that children of injured or deceased workers are connected to resources early. This initiative reflects a broader strategy by the firm to move beyond standard insurance services, leveraging both corporate donations and employee-driven fundraising to bolster regional community stability.
