Officeworks integrates Snapchat ads into Zitcha retail media platform

Australian retailer Officeworks has become the first global brand to deploy Snapchat’s full suite of advertising formats directly through the Zitcha retail media platform. The integration allows the Wesfarmers-owned company to push sponsored content and dynamic product ads directly into consumer chat feeds, targeting younger, highly engaged audiences.

The partnership enables Officeworks to utilize Sponsored Snaps, standard Snap Ads, and catalogue-driven Dynamic Product Ads to bridge the gap between digital discovery and physical sales. The retailer has already launched an inaugural campaign for Microsoft, aiming to stimulate demand across both online storefronts and brick-and-mortar locations.

Andy Mossop, Chief Customer Officer at Officeworks, stated that the move is part of a broader strategy to build a retail media network that provides measurable value for suppliers. By leveraging Zitcha’s technology, the company seeks to connect with shoppers in more relevant environments than traditional display advertising allows.

Steve Biddle, Chief Commercial Officer at Zitcha, noted that the industry is shifting away from simple impression-buying toward offsite media linked to concrete retail outcomes. According to Ryan Ferguson, Managing Director at Snap Inc. ANZ, Gen Z consumers frequently share and discuss purchase decisions within private chats, making the platform a high-value space for brands to show up in moments of genuine intent.
