Gatik Secures $200 Million to Scale Autonomous Freight Operations

Autonomous trucking developer Gatik has raised $200 million in a Series D funding round, signaling a shift from experimental pilot programs to large-scale commercial deployment. The capital injection arrives as the company faces surging demand for driverless freight solutions across the grocery, retail, and consumer packaged goods supply chains.

The financing round was spearheaded by the Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies, with additional backing from Millennium Management, ARK Invest, and Intact Private Capital. Gatik intends to channel these funds into the expansion of its existing fleet and infrastructure, while accelerating the development of its AI-driven autonomous technology. Currently active in Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, and across Canada, the company has set a target of deploying more than 100 driverless trucks by the end of 2026.

Gautam Narang, CEO and co-founder of Gatik, characterized the investment as a validation of the firm's commercial strategy, which emphasizes real-world revenue and proven performance within live supply chains. Investors echoed this sentiment, noting that the sector has reached an inflection point where robotics and artificial intelligence are moving beyond theoretical potential into sustainable, high-volume logistics operations. For Gatik, the focus now shifts toward maintaining operational discipline while scaling its service for global retail partners.
