Massey’s transition into comedy draws heavily on his experiences navigating fame as a child star. This shift in career trajectory was fueled by the success of his brother, known for his role in Zoey 101, and direct encouragement from comedy veteran Chris Tucker. By stepping away from the constraints of network scripts, Massey says he has found a sense of creative liberation. Following the Hollywood event, the performer is expanding his reach with a scheduled appearance at the Laugh Factory in San Diego on September 7, with further stops planned for Detroit and Orlando.
