The Commodore 77 features a smoked grey translucent case, turquoise LED lighting, and custom graffiti-inspired accents. Under the hood, it upgrades the standard Commodore 64 Ultimate experience by swapping the 50T processor for a more powerful AMD Artix XC7A100T, enabling speeds of 77MHz. This hardware, compatible with nearly the entire library of original Commodore 64 software, also supports advanced features like 24-channel stereo SID music.
Owners receive an exclusive, non-interactive demo stored on an Arasaka-branded cartridge. Created by the demo group Arise with a soundtrack by chiptune artist LukHash, the software pushes the limits of the original 1982 architecture. Commodore CEO Peri Fractic noted that the project reflects the ethos of both brands, emphasizing that the hardware allows users to build and tinker without corporate gatekeeping. The device is currently available for pre-order at $377 through the company’s official website, with shipping slated for early 2027.
