Joy A. Gottshall Named 2026 Pinnacle Woman of the Year

Gottshall holds a Master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, an institution where she also completed her undergraduate studies in 1972. Her professional approach centers on collaborative intervention, working alongside families and educators to craft learning environments that prioritize both emotional stability and scholastic growth.

Her influence in the field earned her the School Psychologist of the Year award from Guilford County Schools in 2022. Beyond her individual casework, she remains an active member of the National Association of School Psychologists and the North Carolina School Psychology Association, ensuring her practices align with current industry standards.
