Beth Francesco Named Executive Director of Education Writers Association

Francesco arrives with a track record of stabilizing and expanding professional organizations. During her four-year tenure as executive director of the National Press Club Journalism Institute, she focused on diversifying training programs and securing resources for reporters facing professional risks. Her background bridges the gap between newsrooms and classrooms, having served as a student media adviser at the University of Texas at Arlington and an adjunct professor at both UT Arlington and American University.

Eva-Marie Ayala, president of the EWA board, described Francesco as an innovative leader capable of balancing strategic growth with the needs of reporters working under increasing pressure. As she transitions into the role, Francesco intends to prioritize the development of professional support systems for members.
