Republic Business Credit Backs Louisiana Infrastructure Startup

A Louisiana-based utility infrastructure contractor has secured a $1 million factoring facility from Republic Business Credit. The financing aims to provide the startup with immediate liquidity, allowing the firm to mobilize crews and pursue larger regional contracts across the Gulf South over the next two years.

The contractor, led by an entrepreneur with over a decade of industry experience, provides critical services to telecommunications, fiber optic, and utility providers. As the firm’s project pipeline expanded, the need for a more flexible cash flow solution became evident. By converting accounts receivable into working capital, the business gains the ability to strengthen supplier relationships and manage daily operational costs without the constraints of traditional lending cycles.

Benton Hilbun, Senior Vice President at Republic Business Credit, noted that the facility is designed to support the startup’s disciplined growth strategy. CEO Robert Meyers added that unlocking asset value is essential for high-growth firms to remain agile in competitive infrastructure markets. This transaction highlights a broader trend of lenders targeting specialized regional contractors to facilitate their expansion into larger, capital-intensive projects.
