Spectrum Adds Amazon Prime to Low-Income Internet Assist Plan

The initiative covers the full suite of Prime benefits, which typically retail for $14.99 per month or $139 annually. Eligible customers—those currently subscribed to Spectrum’s 50 Mbps Internet Assist tier—can now access perks including free delivery on millions of items, Prime Video, Amazon Music, and cloud gaming via Amazon Luna. Adam Ray, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Spectrum, stated the company intends to increase the utility of its existing services by integrating these features directly into the subscription.

Beyond grocery savings and faster shipping options, the bundled membership includes access to Alexa+, Amazon's AI-driven assistant, and photo storage capabilities. The expansion is part of a wider strategic effort by Charter Communications to bolster its market position as a converged provider of broadband and mobile services. Interested customers can manage the activation process through a simplified onboarding portal on the Spectrum website. The company also noted that similar benefits are expected to roll out for qualified legacy Cox customers in the near future.
