CLO Virtual Fashion Ends Patent Battle With Style3D Maker

Zhejiang Lingdi Digital Technology, the developer of Style3D, has admitted to infringing on three core patents held by CLO Virtual Fashion. The settlement concludes a legal dispute initiated in 2023, forcing the software company to acknowledge the validity of CLO’s intellectual property rights within the United States.

The resolution centers on three specific patents—U.S. Patent Nos. 10,733,773, 11,410,355, and 11,222,448—which Linctex previously compromised through its Style3D Studio software. While the financial terms of the agreement remain under seal, the admission marks a significant victory for CLO in its effort to police its global technology portfolio.

Simon Kim, CEO of CLO Virtual Fashion, framed the outcome as a defense of industry-wide innovation. He argued that shielding proprietary design tools from unauthorized use is essential to maintaining fair competition. The company’s influence extends well beyond fashion, reaching into automotive design, gaming, and visual effects. This commitment to technical development recently earned recognition in 2024, when Co-Founder Jaden Oh received an Academy Award for the impact of the company's Marvelous Designer software on the film industry.
