The survey of 1,238 women reveals that 74% believe AI can effectively simplify their beauty regimens. While product discovery was once the primary challenge, modern consumers face a decision problem characterized by an overwhelming volume of reviews and options. Half of the respondents now look to AI for specific product suggestions, while 34% rely on the technology to build customized routines or identify skin concerns via photography.
This shift addresses significant hurdles in the consumer experience, where 45% of women cite costs and 36% point to overly complex, multi-step routines as barriers to consistency. Anastasia Georgievskaya, CEO and co-founder of Haut.AI, notes that the technology functions by filtering out noise, connecting individual skin context with relevant solutions. The data highlights a particular need for guidance regarding summer-specific issues; while hyperpigmentation is perceived as the most difficult condition to treat, many users remain uncertain about which ingredients or products best address their specific concerns. By bridging the gap between skin identification and actionable advice, AI is positioning itself as an essential tool for navigating the modern beauty landscape.
