Planet Fitness Investors Face September Deadline in Fraud Lawsuit

Investors who purchased Planet Fitness, Inc. common stock between November 6, 2025, and May 6, 2026, have until September 14, 2026, to seek lead plaintiff status in a pending securities class action lawsuit filed by the Rosen Law Firm.

The litigation centers on allegations that Planet Fitness executives issued misleading statements regarding customer acquisition and marketing performance. According to the complaint, the company’s revised marketing strategy alienated its core demographic of casual gym-goers and fitness beginners, causing a decline in member growth during the critical first-quarter sign-up period. These internal struggles allegedly rendered the firm's fiscal 2026 financial guidance and long-term targets unattainable, forcing a sudden pivot in strategy and the cancellation of planned Black Card price increases.

Investors who incurred losses during this period are not required to pay out-of-pocket fees to participate, as the litigation operates under a contingency fee arrangement. While a lawsuit has been filed, no class has been formally certified by the court. Prospective participants may choose their own legal counsel, remain as absent class members, or move to serve as a lead plaintiff to help direct the case. Those interested in pursuing the claim can contact attorney Phillip Kim at the Rosen Law Firm for further information.
