Ferrovia, which joined the Genesis Rail Company platform following an acquisition by Auxo in 2021, specializes in inspection, abatement, and regulated vegetation management. The company maintains a broad client base that includes Class I, Class II, and short-line railroads, alongside various utility providers and state departments of transportation. While the financial specifics of the sale remain undisclosed, the leadership team at Genesis Rail—headed by CEO Rance Randall—will remain in place.
Ben Marks, Managing Director at Northborne, noted that Ferrovia’s business model aligns with current investor interest in recurring maintenance spending and technology-enabled services. Northborne has now completed 18 rail-industry transactions over the last five years, positioning itself as a key advisor in the middle-market infrastructure space.
