WATTMORE and Eos Energy Partner on Integrated Storage Controls

Energy storage provider Eos Energy Enterprises and software firm WATTMORE have entered a strategic collaboration to merge zinc-based storage hardware with advanced control systems. The agreement aims to streamline the deployment of energy projects by pre-integrating WATTMORE’s platform with Eos’ Z3 technology and DawnOS software.

The partnership focuses on combining WATTMORE’s Intellect Operate energy management system with Eos’ long-duration battery hardware. By aligning these systems before they reach the field, the companies intend to reduce the technical complexity often associated with utility-scale and microgrid deployments. Eos plans to utilize this combined offering for select customer projects, providing an alternative for clients requiring a unified controls ecosystem.

Jonathan W. Postal, founder and CEO of WATTMORE, noted that the collaboration addresses the necessity of seamless interaction between battery technology and grid-side management. For Eos, the move supports a broader strategy to offer more comprehensive solutions to its growing pipeline of utility and data center customers. This integration is not entirely new for the firms, which previously collaborated on a 3 MW/12 MWh project for the Nebraska-based Lincoln Electric System, a deployment that served as a blueprint for the current standardized approach.
