Mission Services Director Jessica Strouse notes that even when individuals are ready to work, the inability to navigate transportation remains a primary roadblock. By covering costs associated with obtaining a driver's license, Goodwill Industries of Wayne and Holmes Counties aims to turn that hurdle into a gateway for long-term stability.

This project expands on existing collaborations with the Wayne County Department of Job and Family Services. While the program is in its early stages, it formalizes the organization’s commitment to identifying and dismantling the logistical barriers that prevent young people from entering the workforce.
