Jungbunzlauer Retains Top 2% Global Sustainability Ranking

Jungbunzlauer has climbed to 85 points in the latest EcoVadis assessment, securing a Gold Medal and cementing its position among the top 2% of companies evaluated worldwide. The Basel-based ingredient manufacturer achieved these gains by bolstering its performance in ethical business practices and sustainable procurement processes.

The company’s latest rating reflects a steady climb from 84 points, reinforcing its status as a leader in natural ingredient production. While maintaining high marks in environmental stewardship and labor rights, the firm specifically improved its scores in Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. Jungbunzlauer also kept its Carbon Leader status, a distinction within the EcoVadis Carbon Scorecard that highlights the organization's ongoing efforts in climate action and carbon footprint management.

CEO Bruno Tremblay attributed the success to the collective efforts of the company's global workforce, noting that the ranking validates their long-term sustainability strategy. The firm integrates these standards across its entire value chain, ranging from raw material sourcing to large-scale fermentation operations in Europe and North America. By aligning with frameworks like the UNGC and SBTi, the company continues to prioritize circularity, water conservation, and product safety in its push to serve customers across more than 130 countries.
