California Pizza Kitchen plans 1,000 automated kiosk rollout

California Pizza Kitchen is deploying up to 1,000 automated pizza-making kiosks across the United States in partnership with T-ROC Global. The initiative targets high-traffic locations such as hospitals, hotels, and sports venues, aiming to provide quality, on-the-go meals where traditional restaurant footprints are not feasible.

The kiosks utilize TurboChef technology to prepare pizzas in approximately 90 seconds. Beyond pizza, the menu is slated to include pasta dishes like Bolognese and Kung Pao, alongside Mac ‘N’ Cheese and the brand’s signature Butter Cake. This expansion builds on a pilot program launched in 2025, which saw machines installed at major airports including Dallas Love Field, Boston Logan, and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta.

Michael Beacham, President of California Pizza Kitchen Global, stated that the automated strategy allows the company to reach new consumer occasions. T-ROC Global CEO Brett Beveridge added that the partnership leverages his firm’s nationwide infrastructure to scale a new distribution channel. The company intends to activate an additional 15 units at universities by the end of 2026 as it pushes further into non-traditional retail spaces.
