Max Alran Clinches Home Victory at Les Gets World Cup

Nineteen-year-old Max Alran delivered a career-defining performance on Saturday, charging down the technical Les Gets course to secure his first Elite Men’s Downhill World Cup win. Amid the rain-slicked terrain of the Haute-Savoie region, the French rider eclipsed the field with a blistering 3:27.924 finish time.

The victory marked a dominant weekend for the Monster Energy squad at the 2026 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series. Dropping in as the final rider of the day, Alran navigated the treacherous track to ignite a massive response from the home crowd, effectively vaulting himself into seventh place in the overall season rankings with 677 points.

His teammates mirrored this success across the four-day event. Marine Cabirou secured second place in the Elite Women’s Downhill final with a time of 4:13.198, moving her to sixth in the overall standings. Meanwhile, Luca Martin rounded out the podium efforts by taking second in the Elite Men’s Cross-Country Short Track (XCC) race, finishing just one second behind the leader. Martin currently leads the overall Elite Men’s Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) standings, while Jordan Williams holds the top spot in the overall Downhill season rankings.
