Hub Group Investors Face August 28 Deadline in Securities Class Action

Investors who lost more than $100,000 in Hub Group, Inc. stock have until August 28, 2026, to file as lead plaintiffs in a pending class action lawsuit. The litigation, filed in the Northern District of Illinois, centers on allegations that the company misled shareholders regarding its financial health and internal controls.

The legal action, Lawler v. Hub Group, Inc., et al., covers investors who acquired shares between April 28, 2023, and May 11, 2026. Plaintiffs allege that the company and its executives failed to disclose material information, violating federal securities laws. The scrutiny follows a series of disclosures regarding accounting errors and the misstatement of historical financial reports.

In February 2026, the company admitted that financial statements for the first three quarters of 2025 were unreliable due to understated transportation costs and accounts payable. Following this announcement, shares dropped 18% to $41.96. Further complications emerged on May 12, 2026, when the company revealed that its 2023 and 2024 annual reports were also materially misstated due to improperly recognized transactions. Hub Group further acknowledged that it lacked effective internal controls over financial reporting during those periods, triggering another 13% decline in stock value. Kahn Swick & Foti, LLC is currently representing the case.
