Cynthia Bailey Recounts Vicki Gunvalson’s Blunder on Ultimate Girls Trip

During the filming of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, Cynthia Bailey found herself unrecognizable to a long-time peer. While dressed as her male alter ego, 50 Cynt, Bailey approached Vicki Gunvalson, only to realize the veteran reality star had no idea who she was standing next to.

The encounter in Atlanta left Bailey amused rather than offended, though she noted that Gunvalson appeared genuinely unsettled by the masked figure. It took a direct clarification from Bailey to bridge the gap. Gunvalson’s confusion, however, appears to be a pattern during the anniversary series. She also mistakenly identified Crystal Kung Minkoff as Sutton Stracke, a mix-up that Kung Minkoff later dismissed as a frequent occurrence among the cast.

While these identity blunders provided lighthearted moments, the trip also surfaced deeper conflicts. Teresa Giudice confronted Gunvalson over disparaging remarks regarding her past legal troubles, specifically accusing the Orange County star of shouting "Pay your taxes" during their travels. Beyond the group dynamics, Gunvalson has faced personal tension regarding her family’s relationship with the franchise. She revealed that her daughter, Briana Culberson, grew so disillusioned with the show’s portrayal of her husband, Ryan, that she explicitly asked executive producer Andy Cohen to stop contacting her. Despite the mounting drama and external criticism labeling her a "Debbie Downer," Gunvalson maintains that her outspoken nature remains unchanged.
