Customers at select Murphy USA locations can now order White Castle menu items via a touchscreen interface, with the system preparing and delivering hot food in roughly two minutes. The technology, developed by Automated Retail Technologies, handles the entire preparation cycle internally, removing the need for traditional kitchen staffing while maintaining product consistency.
For Murphy USA, which operates more than 1,800 gasoline and convenience sites, the initiative seeks to increase store traffic and incremental sales. Scott Woodward, the company’s senior vice president and chief merchandising officer, noted that the platform aligns with their focus on operational efficiency and customer-driven convenience. White Castle views the partnership as a way to extend its reach into everyday customer routines, ensuring its products remain accessible in high-traffic retail environments.
