Steve Webster joins 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards judging panel

E-commerce veteran Steve Webster has joined the judging panel for the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards, bringing nearly three decades of digital leadership experience to the competition. Webster, who currently leads the commerce advisory practice Barking Cat, will help evaluate global retail technology entries ahead of the November ceremony.

Webster’s career spans major markets across the UK, Europe, the US, and the GCC. His background includes overseeing global digital strategy at Barbour and holding senior e-commerce roles at Boohoo and Bensons for Beds. During his tenure at a leading MENA consumer electronics retailer, he managed substantial growth, scaling the business from £60 million to £240 million. In his current advisory work, he focuses on identifying how artificial intelligence can provide tangible improvements to retail margins and productivity, prioritizing commercial viability over technical novelty.

He joins an expanded panel that features industry experts from companies including Walmart, Amazon, JD Sports, Boots, and Holland & Barrett. The awards program, which celebrates omnichannel innovation, will hold its final event on November 4 at The HAC in Central London. Potential entrants have until October 2 to submit their projects for consideration, with the final shortlist scheduled for announcement on October 6.
