The Universal Technical Institute (UTI) campuses in Avondale, Phoenix, and Rancho Cucamonga were honored with the School of Excellence award, a designation given to roughly eight percent of evaluated schools. This accolade highlights high levels of student success and a deep engagement with the accreditation process established by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges.
Separately, the UTI-Houston campus received the School of Distinction award. This honor recognizes institutions that maintain high standards of rigor and consistently deliver quality programming. With 545 schools under its purview, the ACCSC—recognized by the U.S. Department of Education—uses these awards to identify leaders in workforce development and vocational training.
Todd Hitchcock, Executive Vice President at UTI, noted that these awards reflect the dedication of local teams in training the skilled workforce required by current industry partners. Michale McComis, Executive Director of the ACCSC, added that the recognition validates the institution's focus on placing student success at the center of its educational mission.
