The collaboration centers on a new dedicated sales and service hub in Hengelo. By integrating Munsterhuis’ six decades of local market experience with its own software-defined vehicle technology, Lucid plans to streamline access for Dutch buyers. The move mirrors a broader European hybrid retail model, following a similar partnership established with Germany’s Wackenhut earlier this year.
Lawrence Hamilton, President of Europe at Lucid, described the Netherlands as a critical market with high demand for sustainable mobility. Jochen Munsterhuis, director of the family-owned firm, noted that the partnership allows his group to integrate premium electric vehicle technology into a portfolio already encompassing sales, leasing, and insurance. The Hengelo site will serve as a full-service facility, handling both vehicle sales and authorized aftersales support.
