Sentinel Capital Partners Divests Marioff to Inflexion

Sentinel Capital Partners has finalized the sale of Marioff, a Finland-based specialist in high-pressure water mist fire suppression, to the European private equity firm Inflexion. The transaction marks a strategic pivot for Sentinel as it narrows the focus of its Spectrum Safety Solutions platform toward its remaining U.S.-based detection businesses.

Headquartered in Vantaa, Marioff provides fire protection technology through its proprietary HI-FOG systems. The company serves marine sectors—including cruise lines and navies—as well as land-based infrastructure such as data centers and industrial facilities across more than 70 countries. Sentinel acquired the business from Carrier Global Corporation in 2024 as part of a complex carveout.

This divestiture follows the July 2026 sale of Autronica to MSA Safety. With Marioff and Autronica offloaded, the Spectrum Safety Solutions portfolio now centers exclusively on Det-Tronics and Fireye. Marioff CEO Juha Ilvonen credited Sentinel’s two-year partnership with strengthening the firm’s operational foundations. Financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, with J.P. Morgan and Citi acting as financial advisors to Sentinel, while Kirkland & Ellis served as legal counsel.
