Luedtke will be based in Tikkurila, Vantaa, moving to Valmet after serving as Business Line Manager for Mining & Mineral Processing at ABB. His background spans electrification, digitalization, and business growth, credentials that CEO Thomas Hinnerskov cited as critical for the company’s ongoing development. Hinnerskov noted that Luedtke’s expertise in helping global organizations improve productivity and sustainability aligns with the company’s strategic goals.
Sami Riekkola, the outgoing Executive Vice President for the division, will remain with the company through October 2026 to assist with the leadership transition. Luedtke holds an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen and an engineering degree from the Lund Institute of Technology, having spent the bulk of his career in various global leadership capacities across the process sector.
