The leadership change aims to refine operational execution while maintaining the firm's established investment philosophy. As president, Resnick will assume direct responsibility for the firm's national sales team, marketing, information technology, and general business operations. Wagner, meanwhile, will maintain final authority over regulatory, legal, and capital-allocation matters.
Resnick joined FPI in October 2024 following a career spanning over three decades in financial services. His background includes senior roles at Guggenheim Investments, where he managed distribution for Rydex Funds and led Defined Contribution Investment Only business, as well as an early career tenure at Fidelity Investments. His history with FPI dates back to 1998 through various industry partnerships.
FPI currently manages more than $2 billion in total client assets, including $1.3 billion in regulatory assets under management. The firm operates as a turnkey asset management program, providing risk-managed strategies to over 500 broker-dealers and registered investment advisers across the country. Wagner noted that this restructuring is intended to provide the necessary focus for both the firm's strategic evolution and its day-to-day operational needs.
