Set in the fictional town of Cedar Ridge, the film follows physician Emma Ross, played by Bennett, as she organizes a community Christmas Cares event. Her efforts intersect with those of Dr. Matthew McGuire, a traveling veterinarian portrayed by Donovan who arrives to temporarily manage the local clinic. The pair eventually collaborate to integrate a pet adoption drive into the holiday festivities, a narrative reflecting the network's broader commitment to animal advocacy.
Kaitlyn Haubrich, Chief Brand Officer at Great American Media, noted that the project aims to highlight the importance of fostering and responsible adoption. The film serves as a milestone for Niffy, whose real-life journey from an abandoned building to professional film work and flyball competition parallels the themes of second chances presented in the script. The movie premieres on Great American Pure Flix on November 26, followed by a broadcast debut on Great American Family and GFAM+ on November 28 at 8:00 PM.
